Meet the Interns
Intoxicated Cosmetics has two new interns! Read on to get to know them.
Sachi:
Hi everyone and welcome to my first blog post ever! My name is Sachi Goyal and I’m a current undergraduate student at Northeastern University and now one of the newest interns at Intoxicated Cosmetics. I’m currently pursuing a major in Finance and Marketing, and minoring in Graphic Design. I have been native to the Boston area for my entire life, and let me tell you, there’s something about this city that inspires everyone in it (*cough cough* Boston is the birthplace of Intoxicated Cosmetics). I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to work at Intoxicated and am SO excited to bring you guys new content.
Go-to coffee order:
Can’t go wrong with an iced dirty chai with almond milk. Try it. I swear by it.
I can’t leave my house without:
ACCESSORIES. A jacket, a purse, rings, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings. You will never catch me outside of the house without these essentials.
My current anthem:
Everyone who knows me knows that I have an unhealthy obsession with The Weeknd. Play any single one of his songs and I can assure you that I will sing every single lyric.
Why did I join?
By now, you’re all probably familiar with the amazing CEO and founder of Intoxicated Cosmetics: Rachel Sommers. When I first (virtually) met Rachel, it became instantly apparent that she is someone capable of lighting a fire under me. I am so empowered by badass women, and Rachel totally embodies that description. Not only was I inspired by her, but also her products. I’m a firm believer in practicing what I preach. When I tell you that these serums are life changing, I mean it. I am so excited for more and more people to discover our brand and to be a part of a rapidly growing and innovative company.
What to expect:
I’m very aware that I am young and new to the working girl world. However, what this means is that I am locked and loaded with fresh new perspectives and ideas. I’m ready to bring you guys new & fun content through multiple social media channels, some fun new products (did I hear swag??), exciting giveaways and more! I can’t wait for you guys to get to know me so… stay tuned!
Catherine:
Hi all! My name is Catherine Hyden and I am another one of Intoxicated Cosmetics’ newest interns.
I am also currently an undergraduate student at Northeastern University. I’m studying Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and minoring in Global Fashion Studies. Much like my combo of studies, I’m a rather unique person! I grew up in Southern California, but moved to Boston for school (Best. Decision. Ever.)! The Boston architecture, culture, and eclectic energy inspire me everyday. I can’t wait to get to know you all more and to create incredible content! Read on to get to know me a bit more.

I can’t leave my house without:
My water bottle and my chapstick! With Boston winters drying me out, my reusable water bottle keeps me hydrated on the go and chapstick gets rid of dry lips in an instant.
My current anthem:
Juice by Lizzo is my ultimate pump-up song. It gets me SO hype. Listen to it if you ever need a confidence boost - trust me.
Why did I join?
My journey to Intoxicated is an unusual one. I had another job offer on the table that I just… wasn’t excited about. However, it’s tough to say “no” to a job in this current economy. With just 48 hours to make my decision, I heard back from Intoxicated’s CEO, Rachel Sommers, regarding my application. I explained my unique time crunch and she was incredibly flexible - we interviewed the next day. After just minutes of meeting Rachel, I knew this was the job for me. Her energy was infectious and I was passionate about the work we wanted to accomplish!
Within 12 hours, I had a job offer from Rachel and I accepted with no hesitation. This is the job for me! Our products are truly innovative and I can’t wait for you all to see what we have in store.
